Google Chrome Portable / Installation

Hi! Can a new version of Chrome be installed into the folder of an older version (to preserve individual settings, passwords etc.).

  • Yes, but it must be an old portable (not normal installation). That's the way portable apps are updated!
  • Don't use browsers to save your passwords, especially closed source ones! Use a Password Manager instead!
