Installed TBP 2.0 RC1 and it won't load

Hi-
I installed TBP 2.0 yesterday on my drive. I have a 1 GB PNY Attache. When I attempt to launch it from my drive, nothing happens.
Thunderbird.exe shows up in my task list however I see no other signs of it running. I've tried ending the process & relaunching, I've uninstalled the previous versions that were on my harddrive, I've reinstalled it to no avail.

I can run it from my home computer (it takes forever to load) but at work I am stuck.

I am on a novell network with virusscan & I am an administrator on my computer...

Any ideas?

You

launch PortableThunderbird.exe, do you?

Yep...or so I think.

I launch it using my portable apps menu. However when I watch the task list I see that thunderbird.exe launches and then thunderbirdportable.exe...when I close thunderbird.exe it closes the portable app also.

I finally got my thunderbird running, but right now both thunderbird.exe and thunderbirdportable.exe are running on my machine.

depends

Whether or not TB.exe AND TBPortable.exe are running, depends on the machine you're using.
If it has TB installed, then the Launcher (TBPortable.exe) will exit before TB.exe. If not, he has to stick around to clean up.

So if everything works now, you're fine.
