The "About Google Chrome" settings page lists v101.0.4951.67, released May 12, along with the expected "An error occurred while checking for updates" message. But this time I'm also seeing an "update" notification on the main interface drop down menu, along with a notification that states "Can't update Chrome to the latest version", something I've never seen before
However, the latest version is v103.0.5060.114, released 7/5, as listed on it's portableapps product page, as well as on other official Chrome pages.
The platform does not update it.
It updated as expected and is working here. Is it installed to the standard PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable directory? If you right-click the app and select Explore Here, then open App and then AppInfo and open AppInfo.txt, what's listed as PackageVersion?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
After trying about 5 times, without success, I left it alone. I went back about an hour later, launched Chrome, the "can't update" notification was gone, and it now displayed the latest version number.
That was without trying to update using the platform.
I wonder if this might have something to do with some sort of "sync" imposed delay?
