The left Folder show empty when I upgrade from TB portable 8x.x to 102

Hi, today I just download the latest portable Thunderbird version 102, and I make a install which overwrite my old Thunderbird portable 8x.x (I can't remember the version now, as I just overwrite the old installation folder)

When I try to start the new installed Thunderbird portable, the main window shown up, and I see the left Folder is empty.

See this screen shot image:

Though I can still see my accounts are there, they will be listed in the "Get Message" menu.

So, how can I recover my accounts and shown them in the "Folder panel"?

I try to install an old version, which is: ThunderbirdPortableLegacy91, but when I try to started this version, it said that my profile(data) is modified by a recent version of the Thunderbird, and I can't start it.

Hope someone can help me to solve this issue, thanks!

I'm on a Windows 7 64bit OS.

Relatively Common Issue

This is a relatively common issue in Thunderbird. Details to fix: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Empty_folder_pane

Your portable profile will be in ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile so you don't need to launch Thunderbird to find it or make the fix, just Explore to it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hi, John, thanks for the

Hi, John, thanks for the reply.

I have read the kb page link, and it looks like the way mentioned in the page doesn't solve my issue.

In-fact, I have deleted several layout (json) files, and restart TB, but the empty Folder issue is still there.

I got some help from official Thunderbird forum, see this post:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14935352#p14935352

Currently, I have to "downgrade" to the Thunderbird 91 now. I can't find a reliable way to do the upgrade to TB 102.
