Does PortableApps.com work better within its own drive ?

Hello all,
due to hardware problenms i have to migrate to an new laptop and it is painfiul , so that I plan to run as many portable applications as feasable.
I am new to portableapps.com and like it so far. I habe some questions and plan to write several posts to make things clearer.

I have the most important data on a nextclud server and sync that to a local folder on C:\

I create subfolders for each environment and start from there and this works fine. Does it make sense to assign drive letters to the path of the environments ?`

In theory it shoukldn't matter and I assume that all paths inside the environemnt are relatve. But maybe it would have practical value ?

Any thoughts ?
