stenrulz:
I think this has been said before, but if you want to request an application, you need to tell people what application you would like made portable. You should provide a link to that application, and you should use good grammar and spelling in your request.

For example, with this post, I have no clue what you are asking for. the subject sounds like a spam ad. Your request is one sentence with bad spelling and no capitalization. Free internet is something you have to ask your ISP for. PortableApps.com can't give you free internet. 'porable webbrowser' should be 'portable web browser, and a quick look at the home page should show you that PortableApps.com offers Mozilla Firefox Portable, free to download. Finally, I have no clue what you mean by 'all ready for use.'

I'm not sure who said this, but I've heard people call it the fundamental principle of successful communication:

It is not your audience's responsibility to puzzle out what you intended to say;
it is your responsibility to express yourself so clearly that no one with a modicum
of intelligence and good will could possibly mistake your meaning.

you would save everybody, including yourself a lot of grief if you tried to adhere to this principle.

Like John said.

You asking for a lot of what we call "Gimme Gimme's". John said to slow it down a bit, you can't keep requesting stuff like this without a description, link, anything.

If you really wanted the app, you'de give a reccomendation and description, and people might actually give a shot at making it portable, but you format ALL your posts as follows.

hi
I would like (portable whatever, usually not a specific app)
thk.

Try providing a decription and actualy software too, (Open-Source of course). And don't make requests so frequently of people will probally become frustrated and annoyed.

And yes, free internet?...?
Web Browser-Mozilla Firefox Portable Edition, the best out there.
And I agree, what do you mean, all ready for use.

Stenrulz, my friend...

After looking at your posts, I appears that what you are looking for is someone to do the research for you.
This site has a lot of great apps, quite well tested, but every one you see represents long long hours of work, by the programmers, by John T. Haller, and by the testers, and more, all of whom are working basically UNPAID. On top of that, there are many people on this forum who are ready to help people with questions, whether from newbies or techies, but they aren't going to chew your food for you.

Are you reading the responses to your posts?

Your request for links to lists of portable apps on 20APR07 was very kindly answered by quite a few people. In case you have trouble finding your own posts on this site, here's a link:
https://portableapps.com/node/6545

Of course, each of these sites has a drawback: you must LOOK at them, and they can't read your mind.

P.S. If I understand the request correctly...
i would like free internet on a porable webbrowser all ready for use.

Either that means that you would like the entire internet downloaded for you, for free, with a porous web browser;
or
You would like somehow to get free access to the internet?

Finally, there is a web site that is designed to give you thousands of answers to simple questions.
It's called GOOGLE!

This is about the 5th or 6th

This is about the 5th or 6th post the guy has made, without including any info and giving a very vague explanation of what he's looking for

eventually he/she will get banned by the moderators and the problem will solve itself.

(the next is especially aimed at Ryan or John) Have you guys ever thought of deleting 'spam' posts? AKA, adding something into the forum guidelines about how you can choose to pull the plug on any and all posts you feel like, and then doing it for spam? From the user's standpoint, every once in a while, it kind of sucks to see:

Topic:

ZOMFG!!!!1 protbl windos??!?!?!?!PLAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS

Content:

plas dnlod. i wnat make portablapps winos viste beta 4. Get heer: [Link removed by moderator (insert name here) . Links to illegal software are illegal.]

However, I do understand why you might not want to start randomly deleting posts. It might start looking like a dictatorship. I just thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't thought of it.

Wild guess

This is only a wild guess, but I think the problem with this guy is in part that his English is very poor, so he might be having a hard time reading a great volume in very informal English, or composing more detailed posts.

Perhaps not all is lost with him. Among his many un-followed up posts there is at least one try to help others (here), and I only checked very few of them.

Also in many Latin American countries, there are companies that offer dial-up Internet connectivity at no charge (besides the cost of the normal price telephone call) and that publicize this as "Internet Gratis" which translates as Internet for free, or "Free Internet". Perhaps what he wants is to have the conection to his usual "Free Internet" provider set up in his USB drive so when his at a friend's, he can use his own... I really don't think it's all that practical, but well... it sounds more reasonable that a .tar.gz of all Internet content (updated daily, of course) Smile

PS: Yes, I saw his profile, and it says US, not Latin America. But is that the truth?

PS2: Some of this "Internet Gratis" providers even give you a user and pass, and time your sessions, and "pay" you for your time on-line (what they pay you is just a fraction of the telephone cost). I know of ISP's operating like this in Panama, Peru, Chile and Argentina. Normally dad pays the phone bill, the Telco keeps a part, the ISP keeps another and the kid "get's paid" for his on-line time... But with one of this it is specially desirable to have your own dial-up icon, with your user, wherever you go. Still a wild guess, but...

PS3: Stenrulz, if you are reading this, please, answer. If English is hard for you, answer in any language. We'll find a way to understand it.
