I agree that this software can be modified into a portable version. The financial report says that 1.3 billion people use it every month. It supports Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Watch. All its chat records are stored in Documents\WeChat Files\. Its installation package is just unzipped. It would be very convenient if it could be run in a USB flash drive.

Hi, if you download the official Wechat's Windows installer on their website, you can just unzip it with 7-zip ; you need to repeat the operation a few time with the newly unzipped files. At some point, you end up with a Weixin.exe that you can run directly without any admin right: it gives you the full Wechat features including auto-updates.
