Hi,
I'm trying Mozilla Firefox Developer Edition, Portable (https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-developer-portable) version 106.0. My problem is related with the proxy settings, because, even i choose the option "without Proxy", Firefox still use the proxy configured in windows (using a PAC file).
Maybe you can thing that this behaviour is "normal", because it's not allowed to bypass windows settings, but, I have also the Mozilla Firefox Developer Edition Portable, version 90.0b1 (64-bit) and it works. I can bypass the windows proxy and connect directly to internet without the use of the proxy (PAC).
For both, I made the same changes in file fp_mozilla_F1E.cfg in order to avoid the changes of the program Forcepoint One Endpoint. But in version 90 works and in the new one, its impossible.
I try to use also FirefoxPortable2ndProfile, but with the same result: impossible to bypass the windows proxy configuration.
Maybe it's needed to do another things or change other settings settings. I've seen that in the new version there are other settings related with the proxy configuration (network.proxy.default_pac_script_socks_version and network.proxy.parse_pac_on_socket_process) that maybe need to be changed, but I tried without result (maybe i don't include the right values).
Could anyone help me?
Thank you so much in advance.
I know by default modern Firefox is set to use the system proxy settings by default. It may also respect certain registry keys that require it to do so regardless of the setting in Firefox itself (Chrome does this) but am unfamiliar with it. This is more of a Firefox question as our portable package makes no changes to these settings.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Ok, thank you. I will try to find it.
