Naming - Portable before or after?

Because of old habits mostly I have since the beginning named my portable apps in the form of PortableFirefox (as an example). The portable apps platform nor the manual updater does not accept this right away but wants the form FirefoxPortable (no space). If I don't use this form the platform will not update the apps.
Is there any way I can "fix" this as I would like to keep my naming in the form of PortableFirefox or at least PortableFirefox?

Rename Them

You'll need to rename them. The old Portable Firefox changed to Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition a VERY long time ago (over a decade) due to a request from Mozilla. All apps standardize on this format. There is no option to change them as app directories must match the AppID used for each app.

The properly portable apps of ours can handle a renaming like this without issue.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks for that - cleared up a few things

apart from the last bit - The properly portable apps of ours can handle a renaming like this without issue.- meaning that what you wrote about Firefox applies to all Mozilla apps, e.g. Thunderbird as well?

Yup

You're good renaming all of our apps. There may be a couple ones that haven't been updated in a years where the most recently used files list may break for instance. It's usually non-PA.c Format apps you'll need to worry about.
