Skype is a reality in the world of portable applications, but what about a portable version of SJPhone, one of the best SIP clients for voip? It would be great to take our personal numbers everywhere.
Any chance?

You want Jabber support - take portable Gaim (or Pidgin once this is out).
If it's for calls with the SIP protocol, I recommend the fully portable PhonerLite: http://www.phonerlite.de/index_en.htm

I normally use SJPhone to do phone calls (voice), so I thought it would be useful to have something on the usb pen. I checked Phonerlite as you suggested but it does not seem to be a program built to be installed on a pen drive or, maybe, I have been unable to install it cause my pc has an administrator password. What do you recommend?

You seem to have downloaded the setup version of PhonerLite. There is also a zip version of it - just download it and extract to a folder on your stick. Pls look again at the download page:

Don't remember now whether I have tested it on a computer without admin-rights, but it actually shouldn't be an issue. What could be problematic, however, on restricted computers are the ports - if these are not open, you will not get it to work.
