Program: GnuCash
License: Open Source/GPL
Description: Personal Finance/Accounting Application.
Website: http://www.gnucash.org/
From the GnuCash Home Page:
GnuCash is personal and small-business financial-accounting software, freely licensed under the GNU GPL and available for GNU/Linux, *BSD, Solaris, [Mac OSX, and now Windows].
Designed to be easy to use, yet powerful and flexible, GnuCash allows you to track bank accounts, stocks, income and expenses. As quick and intuitive to use as a checkbook register, it is based on professional accounting principles to ensure balanced books and accurate reports.
In the past, there have been multiple requests for a Portable Accounting App like GnuCash (see previous post), however at that time a Windows port did not exist.
I would love to see a PAF version of GnuCash as I feel this would add tremendous benefit to an already great suite of applications hosted here. As GnuCash relies on GTK, maybe it could also take advantage of the CommonFiles directory structure as well.
For more info on GnuCash, see an excellent writeup on the new Windows Port at Lifehacker and a list of the Top 10 Reasons to use GnuCash

It is open source and mostly portable already. From Portable Freeware:
Application folder. Some minor registry entries are created for storing MRU directories as well as file type association, but that does not affect the portability of the application.
Works great!

I looked at it before, but I don't like GTK apps.

There a lot of GTK apps that I really like. Gimp, GAIM (now Pidgin), Ethereal (now Wireshark), Gnucash, StarDict, and the list goes on and on. I would love it if we could get all of them to use the CommonFiles directory structure.
I'd just like to add that I'd love to see GNUcash supported as a paf file. It would be even better if the GTK common files could be shared somehow!
Thanks!
