on windows 8.1, the program just closes. never when being used, so far. but when it's not the front program im using, randomly, i want to go back to blender and it's closed itself, no signal whatsoever.

If the issue is related to the "portablelizing process" then you're in the right place. If it's a Blender's related bug, you should ask in its related forums.
