Hello recently something similar to this happened to me, I was installing google chrome and then I had to pull the usb flash drive out instantly, the program wasn’t done installing, It showed up error messages so I just deleted the chrome file folde and problem solved.

Flash drives shouldn't be removed when actively writing to the disk. This can cause corruption which could affect more than just the app you're currently installing.
