I need an older version of Chrome 64 portable version from 70 ish to 80 or maybe 90, but none of the old links I tried will install the whole app, they all fail halfway through unable to download the app from Google...

Chrome Portable is an online installer - it downloads Chrome from Google's official link while it is installing. But Google stops hosting the older versions of Chrome at the link the Chrome Portable installer expects so our installer fails.
If you can find Google's installer for an older version of Chrome (make sure you do not rename it), download the matching Chrome Portable installer for that version of Chrome, put them in the same location on your computer and run our installer it should work for you.
I downloaded the 64.0.3282.140 installer from this site https://www.slimjet.com/chrome/google-chrome-old-version.php, put your installer and it in the same folder, and got the same error.
Perhaps they renamed the installer? The download from that website was simply named ChromeStandaloneSetup64.exe
I can't really help you further there, sorry.
I don't have a working Windows setup right now, my Mac is dying, and I don't have the money to replace it.
Somebody else may be able to help.
