Most of the time my portable apps platform is open for weeks, and it only update the apps if I manually update it, or I close the platform and restart it again.
I would love to have an auto update apps every week (or other configure time).

This is already planned for things like hourly or daily. The strings have been translated but the coding hasn't been done. It hadn't been listed in the tracker though so I added it now: https://portableapps.com/node/28593
