The Gameboy Operator is a device that plugs in via USB and can play Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance cartridges. The big benefit, however, is that it also identifies whether or not those cartridges are real or fake. I work in a used game store and it would be WAY easier to make this identification without having to test the game, however, the operator requires their software to be installed on the computer in order to use it. I can't exactly just install the Operator software onto the business' computer, but if I had it on my USB on PortableApps...solution.
Their website terms mean we would require permission from the developer to do anything with their software.
But more importantly this is software that requires a very specific piece of hardware to be of use to anyone. That's not exactly a great fit for an officially released app here.
Someone may pick it up as an unofficial test release if it interests them, but for an official release the developer overhead to keep it updated would probably be bigger than the demand/use for the software.
