When I run Filezilla from Portable apps, I close it correctly. But even then I am not able to close the portable apps menu. By trying that, I am always told Filezilla still running, therefore portable apps can not be closed.
I have to reboot my computer (w10) to close all. Clearly, next time Filezilla reports it was noch closed correctly.
But I would like to close it, but not possible. Tried on 3 computers, all the same.
I'm not sure why, but this is FileZilla itself remaining running on some PCs. Unless FileZilla closes, FileZilla Portable can't close and then clean up. Did you change any options in FileZilla that might cause it to remain running in the background after you close the main Windows? Set to minimize to system tray?

I did not chnage anything, in fact it is just filezilla portable I have been using 'for ages' with all my servers configured in it etc.
I had it updated via platform recently and from then it is unable to close on all my computers. I tried all ways to close it normally, but it does not work. Sometimes it complains abt some sql database not being written correctly.
so far all experienced on w10
I managed to close it via task manager, where not filezilla as a program was listed, but some of its processes. Killing this I was able to close the platform.

can really nothing be done abt it?
I can not use the platform too, as due to the filezilla, the platform can not be closed as well.
Any time I run Filezilla, and this is the most used portable app currently, I have to reboot my pc to be able to close platform etc.

Kill the process to be able to close your platform.
There are a lot of apps able to terminate it, just like Daphne, or any other Process Manager.

You can turn off close apps in the platform options so the platform can close without the issue. FileZilla still running is a bug in FileZilla itself and not something we can fix.

According to the FileZilla dev, it's a toolchain issue, occurring exclusively on the 32bit build of FileZilla. Known, but cannot be fixed. Caused by a library, not by the application itself.
"Solution": Use the 64bit build if on 64bit Win, it doesn't have the problem. On 32bit Windows, live with it. 32bit builds are going to vanish, eventually.

This is fixed in today's 3.65.0 Rev 2 release which makes FileZilla Portable a dual mode 32-bit and 64-bit app. The issue will persist on 32-bit Windows and will likely not be fixed by the publisher.
