I found that XnView program is described as freeware, but it is free for private and educational use only:
"XnView is provided as FREEWARE (NO Adware, NO Spyware) for private or educational use (including non-profit organizations).
If you enjoy using XnView, Don't hesitate to help the developer with a small donation."
Perhaps description should be updated.

Each story about release already says "XnView Portable is free for personal and educational use, business use requires a license."
The platform doesn't currently distinguish. I'd guess around half of freeware prohibits business use. If you're using any freeware in a business, portable or local, you'll need to do your due diligence to look up the license for everything.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
