Portable search app that starts as soon as I insert thumb drive

I have decided to use a search app here on portable apps, to index (name only is ok) my thumb drive. I would like it to be always running whenever I insert the thumb drive into my laptop, instead of requiring me to click on an icon to start the search utility. Is there any way to configure any app on my thumb drive, to start up automatically--as soon as it is inserted into a device? If not, I can always start it manually, and then have it index any new files I transfer, but having it do this automatically would be more convenient.
