Gimp portable 2.10.36 plug ins

Hi having doe a seach I see that people have previoslu asked ig Gegel plugins work in old versions of gimp but the answwer seems to be no.

version 2.20.36 has gegl options in tools and filters. both are unpopulated.

I also discovered an alternative to them called Ofnuts on souurceforge. Ofnuts bing the author?

Before i start mucking about, can someone explainif these pugins are suitable and work in my potable version please?

Maybe someone is already using either, or tried to, and can offer advice.
