Howto adjust Portable Apps Updater, when behind a firewall, blocking access

Is there a way to reconfigure Portable Apps Updater to use another URL/DNS or hostname to retrieve updates/new versions ?
Why, behind a firewall and admins seems to have blocked access to PortableApps.com updates.
