KeepassPro lost settigs

After an update, the settings were altered. I think the database cloud backup I have was made before the update. How do I import?

If not, I have a older non-portableapps version. Can I Import a file from there. If so, where do I put it?

Settings?

Do you mean the settings in the app or your password database? Where is your password database stored?

It's the internal settings, i

It's the internal settings, i.e. previously, the passwords were not hidden by stars.

How Launching?

How are you launching the app? If run from KeePassProPortable.exe or via the PA.c Platform, it'll run in portable mode and your settings (KeePass.config.xml) will be in KeePassProPortable\Data\settings. If you run KeePass.exe directly, either in Explorer, via a shortcut in the Windows Start Menu or via a pinned Taskbar shortcut you made in Windows itself (instead of the PA.c Platform), it'll run in its built-in portable mode and store your settings in KeePassProPortable\App\KeePassPro. If you ran it two different ways, it may have some issues.

i think i know how it

i think i know how it happened. When I opened up Keepass, I got an update available message. So i updated. I forgot that I was running it in from platform, instead of independently, so I thought the update caused the problem.

However, I found out that It turns out that in v2.56, show passwords is disabled by default. Problem is, for me, that setting still doesn't reveal the passwords.
