Question on new multi-monitor functionality

I just upgraded to The PortableApps.com Platform v29.3 .

My work setup is a laptop and two 1920x1080 monitors. When I take the laptop home, I use it with only its own built-in monitor. My question is, if I run the launcher at work and move it to one of my external monitors #2 or #2, then exit, shutdown, take my laptop home, and run the launcher again, will it appear on the laptop monitor #1, or will it be on the non-existent monitor #2 and thus not accessible?

I've run into this issue before on other software that remembers the monitor it was last run on, but does not handle the case of that remembered monitor not existing the next time the software is run.

Thank you for your time and all your do.

Moves to Existing

If the last monitor it was on no longer exists, it will move to primary. It also runs a command to force it on to a visible monitor just before it appears for the first time if somehow the monitor calculations are off. The only time you'd run into an issue is if a monitor is plugged in and shown within the Windows displays but turned off. We can't account for that, though, as Windows doesn't know it is off.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Regarding the new multi-monitor functionality

I've read the various posts on the subject and while I agree that PA still remembers the last position perfectly fine, since upgrading to version 29.5.3, it no longer remembers the chosen (designated) monitor or even choses the main display.

I'm working off a laptop with 3 monitors attached (via docking station) and the laptop display disabled. Unfortunately, the way Windows assigned the designation numbers to each monitor does not follow the way the screens are placed on the desk and the sequence is 2-4-3-1 (with 1 being the disabled laptop screen). As in real life, screen movement progresses from left to right with screen 4 being the designated main display in the center monitor.

Whenever I restart Windows, PortableApps places the menu on monitor 2, the left most screen, despite having moved the menu to the right bottom corner of display 4. And no, I do not undock or otherwise remove the laptop from the display hook-up; and again no, rearranging the monitors or switching cables is not an option either.

Before the update this has never been an issue and worked flawlessly, regardless on which screen/monitor PortableApps was placed.
Any idea on how to overcome this issue?

Thanks in advance for looking into this.
