Unfortunately, the VeraCrypt program does not work in the portable version as it should, I tried the primo version from portableapps and the same problem, more information here: https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/tickets/530/

I can't reproduce this with VeraCrypt Portable. If I have a local config file at %APPDATA%\VeraCrypt\Configuration.xml, it is unaffected by settings changes I make to VeraCrypt Portable. When I run VeraCrypt.exe within VeraCryptPortable\App\VeraCrypt and then change the language to French and close it, a Configuration.xml is written alongside VeraCrypt.exe and the setting for French is stored within. The setting within %APPDATA%\VeraCrypt\Configuration.xml is unaffected.
Can you provide exact steps to reproduce including full install path, OS version and bit depth, settings changed, etc?
