Hello John,
Regarding LibreOffice 24.2.5:
If you look at the LibreOffice download webpage you will notice that LibreOffice Still isn't there any more. I don't know if that situation is temporary or permanent. If I look at the LibreOffice Blog for 24.2.5 for some indication of what is going on then there is only this paragraph on the issue:
For users who don’t need the latest features and prefer a version that has undergone more testing and bug fixing, The Document Foundation maintains a version with some months of back-ported fixes. The current release has reached the end of life, so users should update to LibreOffice 24.2.5 when the new major release LibreOffice 24.8 becomes available in August.
So come the August release of 24.8 you will need to look carefully for what is happening with LibreOffice Still because that will then be LibreOffice 24.2.5 — as best as I can see. How LibreOffice will manage that at the download site I do not know. And how you will manage the LibreOffice Fresh and Still Editions I do not know — any thoughts on the matter?
Same as usual. I update Still to 24.2.5 at that point. They just changed how the version numbers work. It hasn't been called Still and Fresh in a long time, but I keep those as the portable app names as otherwise it's just confusing.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
