As all of ya should know Microsoft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or Free BSD on yer Windows comp.
It stands for Gretch Online Movie Player, what's so great about it is that if it attempts to play a file it does not have a codec for it will search for it and install it.
BTW maybe I will try 2 make it portable, only cause of the unique feature.

it pops up a codec search window and from the looks of a screenshot it does not auto install the codec

isn't the "if you're missing a codec I will download and install it" -feature bad for portability?
I guess it depends on the definition of "install".
If "install" = "copy dll to folder x" ->good
If "install" = "register stuff in system" ->bad
Isn't it?

Cause if you told us then some peeps might be interested in making it portable.
So here is a Wikipedia article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gomplayer

...Is anyone there at your keyboard working on getting a linky or descriptor for looking into gomplayer as a portable app?...
Just curious...
=====================
P.S. to Espreon:
I'm guessing this software is
1) A 'player' app of some kind or another,
and
2) It plays 'goms' of some kind or another
Hope that helps.....

...4 the Xplanation, tho' it properly shoulda come from sdonner.
Frankly, tho', I'm wary of apps that search online for codecs, drivers, etc. that they need w/o my permission and/or my knowledge.
Sounds rather like Micro$haft-ish behavior, don't'cha think?...
...Speakin' of which, isn't your current sig the same one sergentsiler used for awhile there? So, did he sell it to you, then, or what?...
