The french description says that this app is inspired from AirDrop. So, does it require to be 'installed' on the different devices to operate?

Yes it requires an install
A good airdrop alternative I recommend is SnapDrop.net in a browser. No install required. Works in any modern browsers on the same network. No ads. Open source.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I was misunderstanding the topic, thought of something like sharing files from different locations..
So, I don't see the interest of such apps while other offline ones, just like → Wifi File Transfer Pro (paid) do the job without installation.
