portable thunderbird update destroyed all existant content????

Hi @all,

Yesterday I was almost finished completely configuring my thunderbird that I installed using portable apps.
While working on it, I noticed a mention saying that there was an update to it. I'm not sure, but if I remember well, I was on 127 and it updated to 128...
Anyway, long story short, this morning, I apply the update, everything seems to have gone well, it requires to restart thunderbird, so I do so, but then it kept on crashing when attemtipng to restart.
I restart my device thinking that it could help
portable apps starts in the system tray, I open it to relaunch thunderbird and TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! COMPLETELY EMPTY MENU!!!!
I had nothing else than thunderbird installed, but I'm frustrated to have past many hours entering my email addresses, configuring everything, fine tuning it to my tastes and once almost done losing it all. Cry

Did I miss something? Was there maybe a popup that should have appeared telling me NOT to do the DIRECT update and pass through a portable apps update section that I didn't know of?

Can I get back all the work I had done on it? I'm supposed to still have everything available since I still have the portablethnderbird folder on my HD with roughly 550 Mb's without counting the messages in a seperate folder

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated to NOT have to redo the whole process again.

Thanks in advance,
merlinregis

EDIT : would help to provide my config : win 10, 32 Gb's RAM, installed on an external drive that has about 2 Tb spare space
EDIT 2 : not too bad, I tried entering my main email I had entered earlier and direct it to the "profile folder" and it found all my emails... good at least for the sync, but I'll have to re install all the extensions I had put. ½ point here Sad

Platform Menu?

You mean the platform's menu is empty? That usually only happens when there was a drive issue (bit of corruption, etc). Did you have other apps installed? Are they still there?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
