Dear Support Team,
I am a Windows 11 24H2 x64 user and would like to report an issue with your portable version of LibreOffice Calc. I have been using version 24.2.3.2, which I downloaded a while ago from your website, and recently I also downloaded version 24.8.2.
The file I work with in Calc has the following characteristics:
- 15 sheets
- 100,600 cells
- 4,608 pages
- 2 formula groups
The problem:
When I make changes to the file, the program crashes. The larger the changes, the higher the likelihood of a crash.
- For example, changing the text in a cell has a minimal chance of crashing.
- Adjusting the column width has a 90% chance of causing a crash.
This behavior is observed in version 24.2.3.2. The newer version, 24.8.2, crashes even more frequently.
How I resolved the issue:
I downloaded and installed version 24.8.3 x64 from the official website. There are now 0 crashes. The only problem is that they don’t have a portable version.
I don’t know what the reason is: either they fixed the program in version 24.8.3, or you are damaging something in the program while creating the portable version.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I hope this information helps improve the stability of the portable version of LibreOffice Calc.
Best regards
