As vivid user of portable GnuCash I am desperately waiting for new release. In present GnuCash portable has version 5.8, while GnuCash is two release upfront (5.10).
I am pretty dumb to make portable release, but has tons of thanks in advance for those who can do it.

if can't await you can normally update all portable apps by the built-in updater which is also in installed apps.
