Hi John,
I see at the Outdated Official Portable Applications thread that you have this notice posted: LibreOffice 24.8.3 [Fresh+Still] (John building...)
As in that thread you said that you were contacting LibreOffice I now assume they have been back in touch with you and explained the roadmap for how to deal with Fresh and Still in the new version numbering scheme. Would you please say what the advice was?
LibreOffice no longer uses Fresh vs Still. They now sometimes list an older build for folks who want delayed new features and (in theory) more stability. As such, our two channels will be updated to exactly the same build of LibreOffice when they only offer a single version as they do now. Long term, depending on how often they are the same, I may drop Still.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks for the response. I see from the Release Page (last bullet-point, Introduction section) the following:
Reading that, I can't see how LibreOffice can realistically carry on with Fresh and Still releases in the way they have been doing. So seems the thinking by LibreOffice is to have users learn and adopt the attitude that micro-releases at level '3' and higher are to be taken as what was once the Still (i.e. stable) bugfix versions. This is easy to learn but I doubt most users will ever even read that advisory note. So if you are going down the route of packing only the current release, which I think is the best way forward, then I think you would be best to include this information regarding Fresh and stable on the download page and leave it to users to decide what they want. I would think this would be the best way forward for PortableApps and just forget about packaging anything but the current (fresh) release, including packing the latest micro-releases of it. That would save you time and would be less confusing for users (I think).
Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.
