shouldn't firefox open help links in open browser window instead of try to start new one!?
sadly the use as system default not working anymore.
so clicking on the links in apps generally not working and most anoying in the last menu with all the links to devs help sites, for translators, etc.
had to change the system link to it or change it in system.
the few ideas in forum are very around the corner and huge.
hope i find the simpliest old trick working since ever.
ideas on way to solution.
the setting by right click on a html file, doesn't repair, nor loader or ff.exe
the shortcut to loader starts ok.
there should be maybe still a problem which broke ff because of mem problem.
it shows 'couldn't load XPCOM.'.
maybe unwanted saved profile data in win and some shit doesn't work?!
sadly no show link or copy link for the menu links, to bypass the problem.
will try to ignore a bit, as have to get quick into finance management.

You should check the drive for errors and then install a new copy over the old one using the Standalone method: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_app#upgrading

not sure how, crystal says overall good, as have many partitions.
installed this way earlier, will try this again.
before it didn't started at all, nor over direct starting and not over such build in help links.

In Windows Explorer, right click on the drive, select Properties, select the Tools tab, click Check, click Scan drive

try to restart regurarly, as can also problem if not.

would scan the system partition and/or the with firefox be enough or need every patition?
i use firefox on other partition as makes sense for me.
otherwise it would be propably a sisyphus task.

maybe something go wrong as got once out of memory or space.
then didn't started at all.
could repair the starting but the open of links like from help menu or app at all get only this 'couldn't load XPCOM.'.
try to fix this also, as anoying not going to help or other needed links.
