how do you make firefox portable get back to use portable profile?

maybe to tired but the link says the other way. if you want use local profile in portable, not as said...
to get back to portable profile. maybe i seed confusion by giving the link to the oposite situation.
but only wanted to point out that by setting the portable as standard you get it messed up and ask how to get back to let use portable the proper profile not the unwanted local/system one.
now i think one maybe have to disconect or disable the conection in system between the file type and firefox portable.
but that could affect more internet file types. i almost think of giving up.
hope you have here a manual how to set it back.

later i got the idea that one could override the local profile with the portable one, if you meant that.
the idea was missing first, as to tired, but come later.
or maybe try to connect the file types to other local or portable browser to disconnect the current file linking.
but not sure if the linking of file types and using a particural profile is the same thing.
i think i'm maybe mixing different things. if so please correct me guys!!!
