I have been able to uninstall and reinstall the U3 launchpad driver available on the Sandisk website on my 1G and 2G but my 4G will now, and forever, be a standard USB flash drive. Good luck.

as far as I know Sandisk is the only one you can reinstall the launchpad on.
some people have had some success with other drives but you have to make a backup before you remove it and hex edit the updater for it to work at all.
