difference firefox portable edition and firefox -profile ".\Data"?

difference firefox portable edition and firefox -profile ".\Data"?

What is the difference between this two ways to get an usb version? Is there a changelog?

The PortableApps version

has much more to offer than the other way. It makes sure nothing personal is left behind, you can run it from everywhere and even use "helper Apps" to open your PDF or other file types.
