I'm guessing he wants some launcher to have a password built in, not a way to store passwords. Of course, since the original post is so vague (hint hint), I could be wrong too.

He probbley wants something like U3's pass function.
However, before I bought my u3 drive I tried in vain to find a nice portable program that does this. He should probably just by a u3 drive.

U3's security is via obscurity. (and I'm adding this into the PortableApps.com Menu in the next couple months). I have two U3 drives that I've reset and then been able to pull personal files from. That plus the fact that U3 is being end-of-lifed in about a year.

password potection in the PAM that would be for the whole drive. (IE, you need to activate PAM, and enter in a password before any of the drive is acsessable.

"basic passowrd system is available for the launcher" literally
The same we are all expecting...
Every App protected by a password, inside the PAM (?) I think it is possible...

Should I have a signature?

and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
anything else that may be on the drive.

So do I. And it will be a security through obscurity thing just as the existing solutions from competitors are.
