Updated FF Portable to 2.0.0.4 a week a-go

I close normally when I'm done and wait for the delayed write to happen to the USB (lites stop flashing), but ever time I start a new session the successfully updated screen POPES up! All the PC's I use have "XP" on them, mainly "XP Pro" but sometimes "XP HOME"!

I can't really figure out

I can't really figure out what you're complaining about. I'm guessing it's FF auto-updating itself and notifying you of that fact every time you insert the drive? If so, just turn off auto-updates in FF.

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Update -> Uncheck Firefox and maybe the other two too (I have all 3 unchecked)

Just take a fresh copy

from the download page and install it over your current one.

Tryied (installed a fresh copy)

Still did not stop that update page every time it starts. Did get rid of the JAVA trying to update every time though! Spoke to soon about the JAVA the Portable has 5.6 Version but at work it still says it ain't compatible with the current version of FF 2.0.0.4, but the LOCAL version 2.0.0.4 has no trouble with the JAVA on the machine (which is the same). Home don't have the java problem but still still has the updated page every time it starts.

Now when I open "OPTIONS"

Now when I open "OPTIONS" and try to save and changes it does not work, think I'll try to go back to 2.0.0.3 and see if that helps! Went back too 2.0 and still the same CRAP. I think I'll try the 3.0, see what happens; guess not 3.0 still alpha and there ain't no portable out yet.

good (I Hope)

Finally Deleted the whole portable Firefox Directory, Seams the Profile Got Corrupted, I renamed that file to bad.spot as I could not delete it and I have my portable Roboform installed on that USB stick (have a new stick coming, I ordered Saturday wanted a larger one anyways), but can not reinstall the new Yahoo tool bar. They really bad not very compatible with the portable Firefox.
