REMOTELY ANYWHERE?

Does anybody know any portable analogue of this program, that gives the ability to control remote computer via web?

Well

The only real solution to control another computer as far as I am away of is using Hamachi and a VNC Client

If you're looking to control your home computer from the road

LogMeIn will work. The host PC needs to be on Windows, but its free, and you can control it from any web browser.

It wasn't, originally.

That was a relatively recent change. And besides, Hamachi isn't portable (I know there's a launcher, but I could never get it to work). All LogMeIn needs at the controlling end is a web browser.

buriproject.info I am on the development team there to make hamachi portable (we don't supply binaries you have tom compile) and our launchers are nsis and all required plugins are supplied when you download the source package

I know

but I could never get it to work. Not sure why, I don't really know enough about how things like this work to diagnose a problem.

I'd use one of the VNC

I'd use one of the VNC programs and then tunnel that over SSL using SSLExplorer since you're asking about doing it over a web connection.

thanks, but

logmein - is really good analogue, but it's not portable app, and also using vnc or hamachi or both doesn't give a chance to control computer without any application.
for example when using remotely anywhere (after installition), there is no need to use any other application but web browser. after connecting to remote machine (with installed remotely anywhere) you can see all the process runing on it, terminate them, see the desktop screenshots and etc.
so i'm talking about the portable analogue of remotely anywhere, not alternative ways to connect and control.

Ok, now I'm curious.

You need a portable app that lets you control a computer you're not at? What, are you leaving a USB drive at the office so you can control the computer from elsewhere? I just can't see any real use for this.

The only reason I could think of is a computer you don't have admin rights on, or otherwise aren't allowed to install software to. If that's the case, I've got bad news for you. As far as I know, nothing like what you're asking for exists. But even if it does, I've never seen any portable VPN software that doesn't just install the software when you run it, then uninstall it when you close it. So you end up with the same problem.

@ yehoni...

he means install a prog into his computer (like logmein) that he can acsess through a prog on the flashdrive that would give him controll over his personal computer. like using logmein but using a program to acsess instead of a webbrowser.
