1. Deepfreeze is a commercial program. From it's webpage:
"Deep Freeze and the all-new Deep Freeze Mac use a unique method of disk protection to preserve the exact original standard system configuration on over five million Windows and Macintosh computers worldwide!"
2. It creates a snapshot of the computer in an unaltered, virus and spyware free state. Usually, it's loaded up just after a complete OS install (all drivers and programs are loaded and tested). It locks down the OS so nothing can be loaded or added without the admin's permission. It can also be set to revert to a saved state upon reboot.
3. www.faronics.com. The link is at the bottom of the middle section.
We use it to keep office personnel from causing an OS reinstall because they click on every link or pop-up that comes up.
I use it at work to make/restore images from a USB drive. I boot using BartPE with DriveImageXML on a portable USB DVD drive and then make/use images on a USB hard drive.
To make an image of a USB flash drive you could just install it and make an image.

You may need to add some more details.
1) Is it Open-source? (If not, you won't get much help here)
2) What does this program do?
3) Can you give us a link to the program's website?
Thank you.

It seems that you're out of luck, since the wonderful folks here only deal with Open-source software.
Sorry.
