Getting GIMP To Run

Okay, so what am I doing wrong? I have installed at least a couple, if not more, versions of GIMP on my USB drive but to date have not been able to get it to run. It starts, getting as far as Fonts and Search For Data, and then hangs. And no amount of swearing will get it any further.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers!

GIMP on first load = really

GIMP on first load = really really slow. just wait it out and it should start. after the first load it should go a lot quicker.

Run GIMP Run

I did finally get GIMP to run but that is one S-L-O-W program. On top of that I initially got several error messages which I just told the program to ignore. It seems like it has the potential to be a pretty good program but no question it still needs work.

Thanks for your help.

What errors?

This app works on virgin installs of Win2K, XP and Vista without issue. It doesn't require anything else locally. And I've personally tested GIMP Portable on those OSes. Also, GIMP Portable has been downloaded nearly a million times. So, if these errors were in the software itself, we'd already know about it.

So, we need you to tell us the errors you're actually seeing in order for us to help you at all.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
