I can´t log in to my personal Google account (www.google.com/ig), just getting "time out" errors. I am behind a proxy in my company, but logging in to iGoogle with my default browswer (Explorer6) works fine. I don´t receive any specific error messages, just that "time-out". I configured all cookies to be accepted by default.All other webpages can be reached without problems.

You haven't setup Firefox to use the SSL proxy.

thank you, that was it. I had to check the box "use this server for all protocols" and now it works.
