Is it OK to install extensions and still keep Firefox portable?

I checked the FAQ but it didn't answer my question. My family does not want any exe file changing the registry so I installed Firefox portable on the USB drive and it works really well thank you! But I want to install a few extensions from mozilla's add-on list too, would that keep Firefox portable?

Depends

Although almost all of them don't touch the registry, some do. So, you're fairly safe. However, it might be work it to mention them here, so we can tell you. Wink

AdBlock Plus

I'm using the Firefox Extension AdBlock Plus. Does that affect the registry at all? I don't have a second computer here, so I can't check if Firefox and AdBlock Plus work on a different computer without affecting the registry.

Please post soon. Thank you.

Should be fine

AFAIK Adblock Plus doesn't write to the registry or negatively affect your performance or drive life, so you should be fine.

Question

Which known Firefox Extensions affect the registry?
