December 2025 Site Slowdown Being Addressed
Firefox, Chrome, and other browsers all have numerous processes running while the a single window of the browser is running. There's a process for the interface itself, processes for each tab or group of tabs, and some other stuff. This is normal in modern browsers.
If you're referring to copies - running multiple copies of Firefox Portable with AllowMultipleInstances set - you can run multiple as long as you have enough processing power and RAM.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
