Lynx - Text-Only Web Browser for Windows/Linux/Mac

This is a really sweet open source browser and it's very VERY fast to view websites since all you see is the real meat of a website. Its information.

If you want to do something in school and you don't want to download all those stupid adverts, crap images, annoying JavaScript, and instead of bothering to use the mouse, your fingers would never have to leave the keyboard.

This browser has been mostly popular in the Linux community but as more and more people learn about it, the more people are starting to use it on Windows and Mac. People think it's too much work to just use the keyboard but on the contrary, it's much easier and faster. You just need to use it for a day just by experimenting, going to Wikipedia, playing around with the settings, and of course using it.

I have to agree

I saw this about a month ago, and thought it would be really great as my internet can be slow some times. I don't know how popular it would be for other users, but I'll look into it for you.

ELinks

If someone is going to do a portable text-only browser, I'd suggest using ELinks mainly because it can partially handle CSS...and what website doesn't use CSS nowdays?

Nice

I think I saw that a while back, and I was looking for it today, but couldn't find it. I'll look into that instead.

It only creates one

It only creates one directory with only four files in it (so far). Not too hard to manage making portable. Wink
