I have a PQI I-Stick thumb drive that has been reliable until I installed Portable Firefox. Now either the drive either gets corrupted or erased while I use FireFox. Anyone else have these issues?
Thanks

I have a 128mb 2.0 model, it never has that problem.
I'd check the OS your running on.
Sometimes you need a little genius, and some duct tape.

Apps make more use of a drive than simply dragging files onto or off of it. So, they're more likely to encounter an issue if the drive has reliability problems (however small). I'd recommend backing up the drive and reformatting first. Then try a base install of PFF and see how that is.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
My OS is win XP Home and has been bug free for over a year now. Have had the thumb drive for about the same amount of time. The thumb drive worked great for a week after I put the Portable Apps then when I went to demo it to friends I started getting error messages. After a 32 bit reformat I would get just one use out of PFF then error messages. Every once in a while the drive erases itself yet the format checks out OK. How can I tell if my drive is damaged? Any software to check it out?
