Hi guys,
Any chance in getting Net Stumbler "portableapp-ized"? As far as I know, it is open-source.
Application: NetStumbler
Description: NetStumbler (also known as Network Stumbler) is a tool for Windows that facilitates detection of Wireless LANs using the 802.11b, 802.11a and 802.11g WLAN standards.
Site: http://www.netstumbler.com/
Release notes: http://downloads.netstumbler.com/downloads/netstumbler_v0.4.0_release_no...
just use universal extractor to extract it from the installer.
find a copy of mfc71.dll on your system or on the web and copy it to the folder.
viola, portable netstumbler.

Did what you mentioned and it worked fine from USB key. But does leave the following registry entries behind:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.ns1
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\NetStumbler.Document
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\NetStumbler.Document\shell
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\NetStumbler.Document\shell\open
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\NetStumbler.Document\shell\open\command
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\NetStumbler.Document\shell\open\ddeexec
HKCU\Software\Bogosoft
HKCU\Software\Bogosoft\NetStumbler
HKCU\Software\Bogosoft\NetStumbler\Settings
So is usable portably, but is not stealth and does leave things behind
