Armogohma Suites- Ultimate Edition v2-PRERELEASE

Okay I made a Pre-release of my suite's Ultimate Edition.

Here's what's new:

Packaged with a PortableApps Installer!-When you install be sure to redirect it directly to the PortableApps folder (not a subfolder within the PortableApps folder)
Added lots of new games! (Yipee!)
Added ConveyPortable

TODO:

Improve PortableAppsInstaller- Make it so it does not install the suite in a seperate folder within the PortableApps folder.
Finish the Support App (Sumatra PDF+AutoIT Script made to launch a PDF containing actual and useful support and help)!
Add Cafe (similar to ConveyPortable but deals with file extensions, a thread with more info is in the General Discussion forums called file extensions or something)
Add NSIS Support to PortableAppInstaller- I know of PortaInstall but does not work, so I am taking an older, working version of PortableAppInstaller, and adding NSIS support+ an updated version of Universal Extrtactor)
Improve the launchers of Eraser Portable, WackGet Portable and WikidPad Portable
Add an uninstaller for easy uninstallation of unwanted apps or the whole suite alltogether.
Add more Apps!

Naming

Esperon - As we'd already discussed both publicly and privately, Portable Apps Suite™ is a trademark of mine. As such, I have to ensure that confusingly similar uses are dealt with. As I'd mentioned, you're perfectly free to compile a package of applications. You just can't call it Portable Apps Suite or anything that would be confusingly similar. "Portable Applications Suite" is definitely confusingly similar. Thus, you need to rename your project to something else. You'd said last time you were going to do this.

You should

replace my PokerTH with John's.
Not that I dont like mine :), its just that his has more features (reusing settings 'n such).

Yeah, but I'd hafta repackage it w/o the Trademarked crap

This what I hate, when opensource developers package their apps wit trademarked logos and stuff and we the developers/users hafta remove them when recompiling. But maybe I will repackage.

What about

repackaging the Installers into a temp folder and execute them separately.
Not as convenient as just repackaging them, but...

I agree. But there's nothing wrong with Simeon's.

Update...

Espreon, just wanted to give you an update on my applications.

LockNote Portable is ready for a new release with a couple minor changes.
HTTrackPortable is ready for a new release that takes care of all the registry entries.
A new one, GreenShot Portable is ready for a release. (You'll like this one)
A new one, Multipad Portable is ready for a release, with my first feature by adding my own INI value.
TTCalc Portable 0.8.1.0 is updated a couple minor things and ready for release.
TTCalc Portable 0.8.2.0 will be released as a simple stub launcher.
A Note Portable is being worked on and should be ready for a new release to make settings transfer quickly quite soon.
A have to make one minor change with default settings to Windows File Explorer, and use ormus's mod of John's installer to download Windows File Explorer, as it is not open-source, so I don't know if you would include it in your suite anyways.
VirtuaWin Portable is going to be a while probably as there is an issue with modules and the registry, however I think I may have found a fix.

Splash screens are done for GreenShot, HTTrack, and A Note. Multipad will be shortly, TTCalc as well, VirtuaWin's is ready for when I release it, and LockNote has none.

Thank you and I will update as soon as I have a chance. Possible the 20th at the latest as I'm going to drum camp next week.

Thanks, and please e-mail me at monopurpura(at)gmail(dot)com before your next suite update.

I will also have a sourceforge page, and perhaps a new site by the 20th as wel.

Awesome. Looking forward to the update. Just an FYI, but if by GreenShot you are referring to the recently released screenshot utility on SourceForge, it needs .NET 2.0 installed to run

Bummer, I didn't see that anywhere, sad. Oh well, it only took me a minute since it was already portable, but thanks.

Well, you can have an old

Well, you can have an old version for those using it on computers without .NET and th new one for those using it on computers with .NET.

But...

I don't think there's any version that don't requre .NET? Or am I wrong.

I've already been in contact with the author, and I've contacted him about .NET and why it's needed, so he should get back to me in a couple hours.

From what I could see, there

From what I could see, there isn't a version w/o .NET

Misunderstood

Sorry, must have misunderstood ZGitRDun8705's comment. I interpreted it as the new version, not the new software. Sorry.

Great, Espreon. I

Great, Espreon. I personally love these because PA users can find apps in an easy-to-use suite.

Yay,

Toucan almost at the top of the list, which version are you using? If you drop me an email at steve(dot)lamerton(at)gmail(dot)com I'll send you my latest release candidate (not public yet) which fixes an annoying bug that Ryan found.

A fix.

If you don't want the apps installing a serperate folder, like you mentioned above, just change:

StrCpy $INSTDIR "$FOUNDPORTABLEAPPSPATH\${SHORTNAME}"

To this:

StrCpy $INSTDIR "$FOUNDPORTABLEAPPSPATH"
