I normally run chrome's .paf executable and overwrite my previous installation to update my Chrome portables and this would normally retain the profile but with the latest update (137.0.7151.104 (Official Build) (32-bit)), it somehow resets the profile and I get a blank profile upon launch.
how do I retain my profile or at least restore it?
also it seems to be checking for updates. how do I disable updates?

I installed an earlier version of Chrome Portable and made a new bookmark on the toolbar. I closed it. Then upgraded it to 137.0.7151.104 by installing the new version over the old. Then launched and the bookmark was still there.
Did you accidentally set it as default or set it to open any files by default from within the app? Did you download it from the Google Chrome Portable homepage on our site?
