Restore failure

Hi to everybody,

I experienced a problem similar to the one described in this post:

But for some unknown reason I cannot reply directly to it.

I downloaded Portable Apps Base Edition and I wanted to use it to restore my three weeks old backup (I have lost my thmbdrive :-().

I have tried the operation on two different machines with the same results: restore stopped to OpenOfficePortable folder.

I looked inside the zip archive with windows XP builtin decompression and I was able to extract all following folder without a problem.

The next folder after OpenOfficePortable were PortableAppsBackup and PortableAppsMenu. In the mentioned post, John T. Haller says that the only folder excluded from restore is PortableAppsBackup.
Since I launched restore from Portable AppsMenu without closing it maybe the process has gone bad for this reason.

Shouldn't PortableAppsBackup skip also PortableAppsMenu folder? Or maybe you should explicitly specify in the PortableAppsBackup to close PortableAppsMenu (for dumb users like me ;-))
