(solved)notepad++ 8.8.3 saves not in Notepad++PortableSettings.ini, only 5 lines

i setted all colors and settings new and the settings ini has only 5 lines (155bytes), so
i think it is saved elsewhere. i thought this is the settings file but i seem to be wrong
could it be config.xml? with 70lines and 21 the word color
we need to examine this

UPDATE not sure what is the standard settings file and the diff between normal and portable. i think you needed to change it and that installed use the ini which you use for other things. is this right?
